Alice In Wonderland 122113

On this day, I had a chance to attempt an outdoor Cosplay Photo Shoot with my friends, who Costume-Played in the theme of Alice in Wonderland! We had the shoot in Botanic Garden, Singapore. Here are some of the better shots I took of them! This shoot features Alice (Elf Version), Red Queen, White Queen and The Hatter. I shall let the pictures do the talking, Enjoy~

(Minimal editing was done to the pictures. I am still learning on how to Photoshop pictures to create stunning effects)

Since its based on Alice in Wonderland, how can we not have Alice?!

To add on, the costumes of Alice and the Red Queen are both handmade! They made what they wore! Impressive isn't it? If you would like to contact them on how they made the costumes, feel free to drop me a message! ^^

Event Of the Year (EOY) Cosplay Festival 2012

Had the chance to be the photographer for this anime, Inu X Boku SS, for my friends at Event Of the Year (EOY) Cosplay Festival 2012! It was my first time having cosplay models to conduct a shoot during an event, which was held at the Marina Barrage!

The models are Alexia Faye Lim Qiao Yi cosplaying as Banri Watanuki, who is a racoon dog demon who labels himself a "delinquent" in the anime, and Ying Jie cosplaying as Karuta Roromiya, who is the Secret Service (SS) for another character in the anime called Kagerou Shoukiin. Karuta Roromiya is a character who usually seems phased out but in fact she is very clever and is very well known for important details. Watanuki, who is the yellow haired guy from the anime, and Karuta, the pink haired girl from the anime, are has been friends since they were little and Watanuki has a very big crush with Karuta, whom she did not realise the affection.

A problem I met during this shoot is that I did not know of this anime and the characters that they are cosplaying, it was actually quite difficult for me to direct them to bring out the characters like how they are in the anime. Thus, I had to get to know about their characters from their brief introduction and try to think of ways to fit the shoot into the anime.

As my experience is considered little, and didn't really walk around the event to take pictures of other cosplayers, I tried to save the picture and make them look decent enough to be presented to you. I had a great time and experience working with these 2 ladies and would wish to conduct more of such shoots!

These were the chosen pictures that I took for Inu X Boku SS! There are some other pictures taken, but not related to the anime itself.

Below are just a few pictures that I took while my models were resting in the air-conditioned cafeteria as the weather was pretty hot that day. I forgotten to check my camera settings when I took the first photo, resulting in the pretty bad quality. The picture was not bad to me, so I decided to do my best to save it! Please take a look as well! ^^ *I have no idea which anime these cosplayers are from >.< *

Anime Festival Asia 2012

And so, my brother won pair of tickets to Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2012 but he wasn't free to make go, he gave me the tickets and I went with 2 other friends of mine!

Went there with the intension to try, as it is the first time Im doing this, to take photos of Cosplayers at a Cosplay event! At the beginning, we were too shy to point our cameras at cosplayers there, so we went to walk around and started taking pictures of anime models and toys XD We just felt awkward walking around taking photos of strangers

But after a while, we started to join in random groups of photographers, who gathers in front of different cosplayers, and started taking photos of them together! As the cosplayers were busy entertaining photographers, posing for different cameras at the same time, some of the photos do not have the cosplayers facing my camera! Please pardon that. However, it was fun taking pictures of nice cosplayers and I really did my best to make them as pretty as possible! Still have a lot to learn though. Shall improve and upgrade my equipment, so that one day, I have the confidence to invite different cosplayers to have private shoots outside of the event area!

Nonetheless, here are some of the pictures I took of the cosplayers! I decided to not upload pictures of the toy models as I would want to concentrate more on human shooting, rather than stationary object shoot! I would love to find out who all the cosplayers are whom I have taken photo of, as to me I feel that I should give it back to them by tagging them as an appreciation of their hardwork!
