Dinner Review at Chiso Zanmai @ Central Clarke Quay

Decided to give this Buffet Restaurant a visit, recommended by my aunt.

Chiso Zanmai is the first Japanese Buffet Restaurant opened by a Japanese Company, serving authentic Japanese cuisines, serving a variety of food according to the season in Japan. It is located at level two of the shopping centre, sited right above Clarke Quay MRT Station, The Central. The main entrance can be found along the Singapore River beside the shopping mall, facing The MICA Building.

Their price range is quite affordable, and the quality of food provided is really value for money. For more details of their price, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/chisozanmai.sg

For their lunch buffet, no sashimi is served, and the same menu with sashimi included, will be available for their dinner buffet. I went to the dinner buffet along with my family, and we were honestly really satisfied by their food and services.

Similar to all other buffets that you can find, they serves starters, mains, and desserts. According to Chiso Zanmai, they serve more than 100 different types of food for every buffet. What attracted me most is their Sashimi. Although they only serve Salmon, Tuna and Baby Octopus, the sashimi is really fresh, thick and melts in the mouth! Its so good that I could not stop myself from having more! Of course, with sashimi, there will be sushi! A whole range of different maki-s and sushi for you to choose to have them!

Apart from the fresh sashimi and sushi, they have chefs serving you with hot Ramen, allowing you to choose between Nagasaki Champon and Hakata Tonkotsu soup bases. As for the sides, like the fish cake slices and ginger pickles, you can choose to throw in as much as you want!

As for the dessert segment, I love the range of cakes, tarts, mochi and jellies that they provide with! From Macha flavour, to classical chocolate and fragrance coffee, to western Creme Brulee and Houji Tea Jelly. I just love them all! And they have a self-service ice cream machine, providing only vanilla flavored ice cream, and toppings for you to choose from at the side, from sundae sauce to chocolate rice and marshmallows!

Their service, from the time when you stepped into the restaurant to pay for your buffet, to clearing your plates from your table. They are really very friendly and efficient! A few families queuing in front of me during payment, it took only a few minutes to clear their bills! Every time i leave my table for more food, my empty and dirtied plates will definitely be cleared whenever I'm back from my rounds! Really efficient services!

If you are lucky enough to sit by the window, you will be able to enjoy your dinner while appreciating the beautiful lights and night life of Clarke Quay~ Really a relaxing place to enjoy buffet dinner.

Well, words cant say too much! Hope these few pictures that I have chosen helps in allowing you to decide if you should give it a try!

Buffet Meal at MBS

Yesterday, My family and I planned to have dinner at a restaurant located at Marina May Sands (MBS). However, when we reached the restaurant, it was a Full House! So we had to find an alternative place to have our dinner, which is the temporary foodcourt located at the basement of MBS.
After our dinner, we decided to have a walk around the Shoppe and take some photos, in an attempt to play around with the manual settings of my DSLR. As my knowledge about DSLR is minimal, I only tried playing with the shuttle speed when the picture taken was too dark.

I found the interior design of the Shoppe quite nicely designed.

While walking around, I tried taking a few scenery pictures at MBS, without having a tripod stand. So I challenged myself to be as stable as possible to capture the scenery with a long shuttle without using a tripod stand. Here are the results:

This picture was taken with the Marina Bay Skyline, at a viewing deck on Level 1 of MBS. This is a very nice resting area for the shoppers to take a break from the shopping, to admire the night view of Singapore's Marina Bay Skyline, from a different angle from before.
A unique way of designing of the shelter of an outdoor viewing deck.
This is the 'Ship' that the world has been talking about and waiting for that has found its home in Singapore, at the heart of Marina Bay.

After walking around, my family decided to go back to MBS for a buffet lunch today. And this time round, we made sure that we do not arrive too late at MBS. The choice of restaurant? Rise, located near the Customer Service Counter and Entrance of MBS Hotel Towers, right in front of the Lift Lobby of Hotel Tower 1.
A classy design of the Restaurant, Rise.
A beautifully decorated table, for customers to enjoy their Buffet-Style meals.
An open concept kitchen and Cooked Food Counter
A large variety of Freshly Baked Bread for diners to choose from.
The seafood counter, with quality seafood shipped in from all over the world!
The assorted Cheese for Cheese-Lovers to add in different flavours into their dining experience
The Sweets Counter! A huge range of desserts to end off your meal with! The best way to end off a meal, and to indulge while having some relaxing time with family and friends.
The best friend of most people, THE CHOCOLATE FONDUE, with lots of Strawberries, Marshmallow and bread-sticks to enjoy the thick Chocolate!
And more desserts from different countries
The unique decorations for the food counters, showing a wide range of spices, grains and nuts used in the preparations of the delicacies.
And now, the food that went into my stomach, prepared by the Chefs of Rise.

Its an enjoyable buffet lunch at Rise Restaurant MBS, and a very good experience on taking pictures of food. Due to the limitations of the DSLR, I was not able to capture close-up pictures of the food. Hope to have more chances to capture all sorts of things, events and phenomenon using my new 550D, and share them with my readers out there, photographers or blog readers. :)
