Flash Photography Workshop

Alright! Here you go! From my last post, I received my new speedlite/flashgun, wireless shuttle release and battery grip, I chanced upon a Flash Photography workshop by my school's cca, SIM Photography Club. When I received the email regarding this workshop, and the thought that my flashgun is arriving just before the workshop, I signed up for it immediately! I thought to myself "This will be the best chance to learn how to use the new speedlite I bought to improve on my photography skills!"

And yes! The Flash Photography Workshop was conducted by Koh Sze Kiat, who have won quite a number of photography competitions and he is also our very own Alumni! To know about him, you can visit his website: http://www.skkoh.com and http://www.flickr.com/people/sprintist86/

During the workshop, we learnt about how lightings can give different effects, the different types of light forms, the effects by different numbers of light sources, positioning of the light sources and many more! We had hands on session playing with our own flashguns and studio lighting, with a model invited by Koh Sze Kiat himself! Really a very enriching workshop and I had fun playing around, and 'ordering' people around to adjust my lightings!

So here you go! Some of the pictures I took on that day and did some enhancement to them! Hope you like them! ^^

Well, we had some time left before the workshop ends, so Sze Kiat suggested to us to try using the colour filters for the studio lighting! And.... we decided to play with the green one to try to create an eerie effect!
